5 Tips and Home Remedies for Sensitive Teeth
A sensitive tooth means the tooth has been compromised and

thing. There are sugarless chewing gums that can help with tooth sensitivity.
They increase production of saliva in the mouth and thus help to harden the
enamel. Note that sugar coated chewing gum can worsen the case of sensitive
teeth.
Sensitivity Toothpaste- there are some toothpaste already
designed for a sensitive tooth. At night, apply some thick layer of toothpaste
on the sensitive tooth; you can use a sugarless chewing gum to seal it on the
tooth. With repeated action, your tooth sensitivity will reduce.
Bonding Agent or Sealants- they are made of plastic
material. It serves as barrier for the tooth protecting and preventing it from sensitivity.

Use soft toothbrush while treating tooth sensitivity with
home remedies, remember that soft bristle brush reduces irritation. Soft bristle
protects your teeth enamel from degrading. Using hard bristle will wear away the enamel
rendering the tooth nerve sensitive to cold, hot and acidic foods.
Avoid side to side brushing of teeth. Brush your teeth in up
and down or in a circular motion to ensure efficient removal of tartars present
in the teeth.
While using home remedy, stop acidic and sugary food like
ice cream, candy, chocolate, and citrus fruits. Eating Food low in acid prevents
helps to reduce the tendency of having a sensitive tooth. Stop chewing tobacco
and smoking to prevent gums receding. This will lead to a worsen case of tooth
sensitivity.
Use of night guard and mouth guard provides good protection for
the enamel at night while sleeping. This will reduce the rate of root exposure
and thus sensitivity. People that are used to grinding teeth especially the
children can also use night guard to prevent the enamel from chipping off. Mouth
guards are available in pharmacies and dental shop.
Flossing helps to keep a healthy gum by getting rid of
plaque. It reduces the chance of getting a sensitive tooth. Floss your teeth once
daily.
