shows the sign of ovulation. It helps to avoid or plan pregnancy. The fertility awareness (FAM) is also called
the periodic abstinence, rhythm method or the natural family planning method.

ranges from 26 to 32 days. In cases your own menstrual cycle has extra 2 cycles
or shorter by 2 cycles, the standard days method may not be effective.
The day of menstrual days start counting from day 1 of
menstruation, when you start seeing blood. Avoid unprotected sex from the 8th
day to 19th day. Day 8 to 19
of menstrual cycle are the fertile days.
From day 1 to day 7: and day 20 till the next menstrual are stated the
safe days. Couples can have unprotected sex during the safe period of woman
menstrual cycle.
Couples can use diary of calendar to remember and note the
safe periods.
Using Temperature Method
The temperature method rely on the basal body temperature. During ovulation, the basal body temperature increases than
the normal basal body temperature. Basal body temperature is the boy
temperature when you wake up in the morning, when you have not undergone any
activities. Know your basal body temperature normally. Have a personal
sensitive thermometer to be tracking your BBT (basal body temperature). The
temperature increases because of hormonal changes.
Ovulation period is the
fertile period of menstrual cycle when woman can get pregnant. It is the
release of ovum from the ovary to the fallopian tube for fertilization. Hence, the safe period is 5 days before
ovulation and 5 days after ovulation. Normally, the lifespan of ovum in the
fallopian tube is 24 to 48 hours. Because sperm can stay in woman for up to 2
days, it is not advisable to have unprotected sex 5 days before ovulation.
Use of Cervical Mucus Change
Cervical mucus change method make use of the vagina mucus characteristic and physical apearance. During ovulation, the cervical mucus becomes thinner than
normal. Recognize the normal colour, texture and thickness of your vaginal mucus.
