100% Aloe Vera gel is available at health food store, but I
prefer using the gel directly from the plant. Cut a piece of the aloe Vera leaf
and split it into half. Press and squeeze out the jelly-like substance and
apply directly on your skin. Aloe Vera gel is also very good in treating liver
spots also known as age spot.
3. Yogurt or Buttermilk
They both contain adequate amounts of lactic acid. Lactic
acids help fade, lighten and exfoliates the face and body skin. Apply yogurt or
buttermilk directly on your face like a mask. Leave it on for about 30 minutes
and washing it off with warm water.

4. Apple Cider Vinegar
It contains alpha hydroxyl acid that is able to get rid of
dead skin cells. Apple Cider Vinegar is also rich in vitamins and minerals. It
helps to glow and heal the skin.
B. Inorganic Products That Fades and Reduce Dark Spots.
1. Hydroquinone
It is a bleaching agent that removes dark and liver spots.
There are different treatments in the market use in getting rid of dark spots. Try
to choose one that contains hydroquinone, as the bleaching agent. It removes
age spots and is quite safe to use on the skin. You can also choose the one
that has kojic acid. Kojic acid also has bleaching properties.

2. Retinoid
It is potent form of vitamin A. It encourages rapid
cell-turnover. It also works by shedding the outermost layer of epidermis and
improves cell regeneration. Retinoid also reduces the production of melanin in
the skin. Of melanin is the pigment your skin produces that encourages dark
spots.
3. Salicylic Acid
Salicylic Acid lightens dark brown, and age spots. It
softens the skin resulting in skin peeling. Salicylic acid is commonly used to
treat acne; however, it can also be used to lighten dark spots. It helps remove
dead skin cells and encourage new cells production.
4. Glycolic Acid
It is an AHA (alpha hydroxyl acid) that is derived from
sugar. It works as a natural exfoliator as it sloughs off dead skin cell and promotes
the growth of new skin cells. Dermatologists suggest using a product with at
least 10% glycolic acid.
5. Other Medical Treatments like Chemical peels, microderm abrasion,
and laser therapy
If you have the money and you want fast results, you can go
for Chemical peels, microderm abrasion, and laser therapy. Chemical peel and microderm
abrasion helps in promoting skin regeneration by removing the topmost skin
layer. Laser therapy makes use of different types of lasers to reduce
accumulated melanin on a certain area of the skin. It is important to consult
