areas of the skin. Apply it before bed and leave it on overnight. You can mix
in a little olive oil to protect the skin from drying out too much. With little
olive oil, it will leave your skin soft and smooth. Use for about four weeks

If you have horseradish, you can add it to it to make this
remedy even more effective. It will take a little more time to mix together. Use
finely grated 5-inch piece of horseradish and add it to the apple cider

buttermilk. Apply the soaked cotton ball to your age spots and leave it to sit
for about 15 minutes. Wash with warm water. If you have acne prone skin, you
can add a few drops of lime juice to the buttermilk.
Use on daily basis until the age spots fade. You can also
use buttermilk to wash your face or even as a buttermilk bath.
3. Lemons

out in the sun while you have the lemon on. It can cause the skin to darken more.
If you have sensitive skin, lemons can results in skin irritation and redness. You
can dilute it with rosewater first.
Slice up your lemon and then rub each of the slices to the
age spots. Leave for about 15 minutes before rinsing with cold water. You can
keep the remaining slices in the refrigerator. Repeat the process twice each day
until the age spots fades.
4. Onions
Onions contain sulfur compounds which acts as an antiseptic.
It also contains acids that help to exfoliate the skin. It can be used in place
of lemons or vinegar in case of sensitivity. Slice the onion and then rub over
affected areas. Repeat two to three times daily. Rinse well after about 20
minutes. You can mix a tablespoon of onion juice with two tablespoons of honey
for more effect.
5. Papaya
Papaya also contains alpha hydroxyl acids and certain
enzymes that can exfoliate the skin and also fades blemishes, age spots, and
other skin problems. Papaya also gives your complexion a glowing look.
However,
some people are allergic to papaya. It is advisable to do some test first by
which simply applying it to a small area of the skin. For the test, wait for 24
hours before washing it off. In case of
reaction, do not use it and if you do not notice any reaction, you can proceed
further. Get a green papaya and Cut off a thin slice of the skin. The fleshy side
of the papaya is then applied to the age spots. Wash off after about 20
minutes. You can cut the papaya into tiny cubes and then press them into a pulp
using a fork. Put the pulp to your age spots and then leave for about 20

6. Yogurt
Yogurt contains lactic acid, which makes it a bleaching
agent. It helps in making the skin lighter. It fades brown and dark spots over
time. Use a tablespoon of yogurt, two tablespoons of ground
oatmeal, and a teaspoon of lime juice in preparing this remedy.
Mix the yogurt, oatmeal and lime juice in a bowl to form
paste. Apply the paste to the age spot and rinse with the cold water after
about 30 minutes. Apply moisturizer after rinsing. Use every day for a week,
and change it to two times in a week for two to three months.
7. Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera is popularly known for its healing power on many
skin ailments, poison oak and stings, eczema, age spots and more. It serves in
functioning as both moisturizing and anti-inflammatory agent. It helps keep the
skin fresh, youthful and hydrated. Apply the gel and rinse off after about 30
minutes. Repeat twice daily.
8. Castor oil
Castor oil is commonly known for its healing ability on the
skin. Among these are removal age spots and blemishes. Simply apply a bit of
the oil to the age spot and massage it into the skin. Do this for a minute or two,

three drops of lemon juice and few drops of honey to the potato juice and mix thoroughly.
